The Curriculum

1. Phase of Training: Scholarship
100 hours training therapy in the different media of Initiation Therapy (bodywork, guided drawings, dream work, biographic work, and so on)
100 hours participation in lectures, seminars and training groups, including lessons in Initiation bodywork, guided drawings and other media of Initiation Therapy (minimum 50 hours).
Lessons in methods and theories of other depth psychological and transpersonal schools, in systems such as astrology, I Ching, Tarot, Anthroposophy, and so on, and in the eastern way of practice such as Aikido, T'ai Chi Ch'uan, Yoga, Zazen, and so on
Study of the fUndamental literature: Karlfried Graf Dürckheim, Maria Hippius Gräfin Dürckheim, Stanislav Grof, C.G. Jung, Erich Neumann, Verena Kast, Ingrid Riedel, J.P. Gebser, R. Assagioli, A. Maslow, K. Wilber and others (list is available in the secretary's office of Rütte-Fomm)
On a voluntary basis participation in meditation and in work-devotions

After the scholarship phase a certificate will be provided.

2. Phase of Training: Probationer
100 further hours in training therapy
150 hours of participation in lectures and seminars, of which a minimum of 75 hours should be in training-groups in the medias of Initiation Therapy
Extended studies of literature
Selection and in-depth study of a specific topic
Report (approximately 20 pages) and presentation of your in-depth study
Instructing work devotions (voluntary)
Assistance to 2 to 3 persons who need accompaniment
10 hours of supervision concerning the accompaniment with a team member of the accompaniment team
A written report about the accompaniment

Also after successful completion of this phase a certificate is provided. If the student is qualified he or she may then enter the assistance phase.

3. Phase of Training: Assistance

A university degree is necessary to receive the third phase of training. Exceptions are made only in special cases.
100 further hours in training therapy with a therapist who is authorized by Rütte-Forum
150 hours of participation in training-groups, seminars and lectures (minimum 75 hours in the media of Initiation Therapy)
Completion of the literature study and final discussion
600 hours of one-on-one-therapy performed by the assistant
Two or three documented client case studies (with inclusion of photo-materials, dream descriptions, and so on; 10-20 pages for each case study)
150 hours of supervision concerning the one-on one therapy by a therapist which is authorized by Rütte-Forum. (50 hours of which can be accomplished in group-supervision)
Three to six months of clinical practicum in a psychiatric or psychosomatic clinic which is accepted by Rütte-Forum

After this phase a final certificate is awarded.
